Andrea Ranocchia completed his second consecutive training session with Inter as a final deal with Genoa for the defender inches ever closer. The 22-year old Italian will be Inter's first signing under new Coach Leonardo.

Inter who already co-owned Ranocchia are yet to officially present the player but with permission from Genoa he has been allowed to take part in training with the Nerazzurri.

Genoa supremo Enrico Preziosi expressed his delight at doing business with Inter as the world champions paid the Rossoblu €12.5 million, almost twice as much as they paid for the first half of his contract.

Moratti was also glad at the arrival of Ranocchia and told Sky Italia:"Finally an Italian. We had kept an eye on him from before. It is our project to go ahead with young players."

The young starlet who impressed immensely last year at Bari has been drafted in as a replacement for Walter Samuel who is out for the season through injury.

Ranocchia wil wear the number 15 jersey for the Nerazzurri and could feature as early as next week when Inter take on Napoli at the San Siro.
