Juventus will be without Amauri for almost two months

The Corriere dello Sport understands that Juventus will be without their Italian international striker Amauri for almost two months.

The 30-year-old hit man pulled up in training on Thursday and after a full examination at the club’s medical centre, it seems as though the former Palermo man has damaged ligaments in his left knee.

This is the latest blow for a player who has been plagued by injuries since his arrival in Turin almost two years ago. It had been feared that the injury might have been more serious and that his season may have been brought to a premature end but thankfully for the Bianconeri, the results of the scans taken on Friday have shown it to be only minor damage. The date for his return to first team action has not been set, but early indications point towards the end of January.
