Lazio boss Edy Reja believes that his team will qualify for the Champions League next season. The Rome side pushed Parma aside 2-0 this weekend to jump up the table into fourth spot.

Speaking in his post match press conference Reja was in a bullish mood: “I believe if we finish fourth we will truly deserve it considering our efforts this season.” In the game against Parma goals from Hernanes and Sergio Floccari made sure that Lazio gained all three points at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio are now one point ahead of Udinese in the Serie A table and have moved within six points of second placed Inter. Reja’s focus however seemed to be more on sixth placed Roma than Udinese. Lazio’s fierce city rivals trail them by four points: “Parma made life difficult for us and I hope they avoid the drop. Fortunately for us, Muslera made great saves and we held on for the win. We are very happy to be back in fourth place and hopefully, we can remain in this position by season's end. Roma are getting closer. But we just have to focus on ourselves and not on others.”
