Guberti would like Fiorentina move

By Luca Cetta

Friday 01 July 2011

Stefano Guberti has stated he would like to make a move to Fiorentina, but noted that he first wants to talk to Roma. The winger has returned to the capital from Sampdoria but it still not sure where his future lies.

“I am waiting to understand what their ideas are for Roma. I want to discuss the future project with the club, but in a week I will talk to the directors,” he told RadioBlu.

Guberti turned his attention to Florence, noting he had been recommended the city and that la Viola expressed an interest in him earlier in his career:

"Fiorentina wanted me when I was at Ascoli and it would be nice to be approached by them again. I heard great things about Florence from [Giampaolo] Pazzini when we were together at Sampdoria, and above all, the attachment between the squad and the fans."

Guberti was a rare shining light in Sampdoria’s terrible season, which saw them relegated to Serie B but is eager to lineup with his Viola teammates particularly Alberto Gilardino and Stevan Jovetic:

“I had a good experience at Sampdoria but in the end we are sorry for the relegation. To see myself together with Gilardino and Jovetic would be very nice.”
