Juventus and Brazil midfielder Felipe Melo is on course to secure a move to Turkish giant Galatasaray.

Tuttomercatoweb notes the former UEFA Cup winners have revealed on their website that while the transfer is not yet official, talks are ongoing and a deal seems imminent.

The Brazilian is set to move initially on a loan deal, but Galatasaray will have the option to purchase the midfielder next season. They will pay €2 million for the duration of his loan.

Melo was left off the Juventus tour of North America, which sparked rumours of his departure from Turin. The player confirmed the rumours only a few days ago, stating there was a mutual agreement for the sale to go ahead.

Borussia Dortmund was thought to be interested, as well as clubs in Brazil, but Galatasaray has emerged as the frontrunner. Juventus have signed Arturo Vidal as the potential replacement for the Brazilian.
