Milan are reported to have shown a keen in interest in Catania striker Maxi Lopez over the past few weeks and Argentinian appears ready for the move to the Italian giants but does not want to rush into a decision.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lopez said: "I can only be grateful if a club that has such an important history as AC Milan, with all their star players, is thinking about me."

The striker wants to take things slowly and reassured Catania fans by suggesting: "For now the only thing I'm interested in is doing my job well here in Catania, then in January we'll see."

Lopez previously played for Spanish giants Barcelona from 2005 to 2007 but after a difficult spell saw him only make a small 14 appearances in the Catalan capital.
