Andrea Ronocchia returned to action on Saturday evening in Poland for gli azzurri after a lengthy lay off of over a month and has expressed his delight upon returning.

Speaking to the Inter Channel, he said: "It was a long time on the sidelines but I'm happy now. We won too so everything went well."

Ranocchia conceded a penalty against Poland in the dying minutes of the game by fouling Robert Lewandowski in the penalty area. When asked about the incident the Nerazzurri defender was frank: "Let's just say it's one of those that could have been given."

Italy face Uruguay on Tuesday and Ranocchia may be used to mark in-form Liverpool forward Luis Suarez. Suarez scored four goals against Chile on Saturday and will be looking to increase his tally against Italy. With the possibility of marking i in form forward on Tuesday, Ranocchia declared: "It will be a tough challenge and interesting too. But we'll face them with the same spirit we've shown in our recent games. We'll make life tough for them."
