Milito fails to close Genoa door

By Luca Cetta

Friday 02 December 2011

Diego Milito says he wants to play as regularly as possible at Inter but also failed to rule out the possibility of a Genoa return.

The 32-year-old has struggled to recapture the form he displayed in his second Grifoni spell or Inter’s treble winning season as the club sits at the wrong end of the Serie A ladder.

Milito told ANSA he wants to play but will continue to work hard: “I would like to play with regularity, because this is the best for my confidence and trust.

“However, at Inter this competition is normal. I understand and accept this. For this reason I will always train and work at my maximum."

He then commented on his future, failing to rule out a return to the port-city: “My future? I do not know if I will or will not return to Genova. Genoa will always remain in my heart, because it was my first club in Europe. However, in football you can never know what will happen.”
