Novara continue striker search with Bologna bomber

Bologna’s Daniele Vantaggiato has been the latest to be linked with Novara, as the promoted side aims to strengthen its squad in January with a striker.

With just 14 goals scored, the Piedmont side have one of the least prolific attacks in Serie A and have been linked with new acquisitions in recent weeks.

Juventus’ Vincenzo Iaquinta was touted for a possible January loan switch, while Vantaggiato has emerged as a candidate, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 27-year-old has rarely featured for the Rossoblu after moving on loan from Padova in the summer. However, eyes are still focused on Andrea Caracciolo, who has not settled at Genoa.

Attacking midfielder Marco Rigoni leads the scoring chart for Novara with five strikes.
