Parolo is important for Cesena
Cesena President Igor Campedelli has told Sky Sport 24 that while Marco Parolo is wanted by several clubs, he is an important player for Cesena.
Parolo had a stellar campaign in 2010/11, featuring for the Italian side in March after less than one full season in the top flight. He was linked with a move away from the Stadio Dino Manuzzi in the summer but remained. The Gallarate native is wanted once more by fellow Serie A clubs.
“I had a meeting with Cagliari President Massimo Cellino, but we did not speak about a deal between Cesena and Cagliari. Parolo is liked by many clubs,” said Campedelli.
“He has returned to the level he was at last season and we do not want to deprive the player of a move, but at the moment there is nothing concrete. Lazio, Udinese and Fiorentina are tracking him and for us, he is an important player.”
Campedelli also confirmed Cesena is on the lookout for January recruits: “Our transfer campaign is alive because we are searching for another midfielder and wide player.”
