Padoin: Atalanta can trouble Milan

Simone Padoin believes the match between Atalanta and Milan is not a foregone conclusion despite Milan being the form team of the league.

The Rossoneri lead Serie A, while Atalanta are comfortable in mid-table but would be as high as fifth if it were not for the points deduction suffered at the start of the season.

Padoin told the club’s official website Atalanta are only focusing on grabbing the points: “We come up against the form squad right now, but our attitude will not change. We will go on to the field and like always, aim for the three points; it is in our DNA. Also, thanks to our fans it will be a test and it will be difficult for Milan. The result is not predictable.”

Padoin looked to the danger players the Atalanta defence must be wary of: “I would say [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, [Kevin-Prince] Boateng or Robinho are the most instinctive. The truth is that their strength is collective.”

The sides meet at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia on Sunday.
