Luis Enrique claims Roma lucky but played well to overcome Fiorentina in Coppa Italia
Following Roma's 3-0 Coppa Italia victory over Fiorentina, Coach Luis Enrique claims his side were slightly lucky to win so convincingly, but also stated his pleasure at the way his team played.
Goals from Erik Lamela (2) and Fabio Borini were enough to take the Giallorossi into the Quarter finals, where they will face Juventus.
"We were lucky, because Fiorentina wasted some really good opportunities, but we were also played a good second half. I'm happy with what the team did," Enrique told Corriere dello Sport.
"In the second half we deserved to win, creating opportunities and scoring three good goals... The key to this game was that Fiorentina has 2/3 clear chances and didn't score, we instead in the second half took advantage at the first opportunity.
"Lamela scored two, both from passes from Totti, Borini scored and won the ball for the second, also Bojan did his work. We look to play as a team."
