Juventus plan move for Man City defender Kolarov

Juventus have increased their interest in long-term target Aleksandar Kolarov of Manchester City, with a view to bringing the former Lazio wing-back to the Bianconeri in January, according to Tuttosport.

The Turin newspaper reports that there was a meeting yesterday in Milan between the Serbian defender's agent, Sergio Berti, and Juventus Sporting Director Beppe Marotta, where the two discussed the possiblility of such a move.

Kolarov's playing time at the Etihad Stadium has been limited this season, taking part in only six league matches, meaning the player could be tempted by a return to Serie A, and Manchester City could be looking to reduce their wage bill by off-loading high-earners like Kolarov, who are not necessarily first-choice, with an eye on Financial Fair Play guidelines.
