Friday 13 January 2012

Abel Hernandez is set to agree a new contract with Palermo, according to Calciomercato.it.

His current contract is due to expire in 2012, and the Rosaneri are keen to avoid the prospect of losing a valuable player on a free transfer. If the new deal for he Argentine attacker goes through as planned, it will see him stay at the club for another five years, earning an estimated 900,000 euros per season, plus bonuses.

This news will all but end interest in the 21-year-old from admirers Tottenham, and the nouveau riche Paris St. Germain.

Hernandez has netted three Serie A goals in nine appearances this season.
