Van Bommel ready for key period in Milan season

Friday 03 February 2012

Veteran Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel has insisted his side are now facing the most important part of their season.

The Rossoneri are preparing for a tough February, starting on Sunday afternoon with a home tie against Napoli. This is then followed by a midweek home clash with league leaders Juventus, an away tie with high-flying Udinese, and the Champions League tie with Arsenal.

"Milan-Napoli is a key match for the Scudetto race. After the defeat to Lazio we don't want to lose another three points," he told Milan Channel.

"I consider this period of games the most important of the season, and i'd like to get a goal. We're not happy when we don't win because we know we get further away from Juventus."
