Udinese to forget loss, says Abdi

Monday 06 February 2012

Udinese midfielder Almen Abdi hopes the Zebrette can quickly forget their loss to Fiorentina and focus on what lies ahead.

Antonio Di Natale gave Udinese a first-half lead, but Stevan Jovetic scored twice from the spot and Mattia Cassani a header to turn the match around, as the Florentines ran out 3-2 winners.

The match came days after Udinese defeated Lecce, while Fiorentina’s match at Bologna was snowed-off.

“Fiorentina did not play on Wednesday and we did,” said Abdi at the completion of the match.

“They are a good squad but now we must think about the next match. We have lost points but the situation is not dramatic. Now it is time to get our heads around the match on Sunday.”

Udinese host second-placed Milan this weekend.
