The Italian league has made a significant mark in the transfer market this summer. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus from Real Madrid has been the major highlight of the summer. There are already suggestions that the Serie A look poised to regain their lost glory in the coming years.

With the acquisition of Ronaldo, Juventus have more-or-less confirmed their dominance in Italy for years to come. However, both Milan clubs have done well in the transfer market, and there are huge expectations from them. Both Napoli and AS Roma have also made some interesting purchases and are among the sportsbetting at unibet contenders:

Here are five exciting summer signings from Serie A this summer:

5. Radja Nainggolan (AS Roma to Inter Milan)
The Belgian midfielder-enforced has joined Inter Milan in 38million Euro deal this summer. His departure has left a huge hole in Roma squad.

He has ample experience of playing in Italy, and we expect him to be a key player in Luciano Spalletti’s squad this season. Spalletti has previously managed the midfielder at Roma, and he would know how to get the best out of him at Inter.

4. Javier Pastore (PSG to AS Roma)
The Argentinean is back in Italy following a seven-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain. The former Palermo man has a point to prove after falling out of favour at the Ligue 1 club. He has joined the Rome-club in a €24.7m transfer from PSG on a five-year deal. He scored 11 league goals in his last season with Palermo, and a similar output is expected from him at Roma.

3. Mattia Caldara (Juventus to AC Milan)
AC Milan have allowed Leonardo Bonucci to return to Juve, but they have signed a huge talent in Mattia Caldara to replace him. Caldara is one of the best Italian defenders in his age-group, and it can be argued that Milan have sorted their centre-back options for years to come. Rossoneri agreed to pay €35 million for the services of the 24-year-old.

2. Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus to AC Milan)
Milan have signed the Argentinean striker in a year-long loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent. Higuain guarantees goals, and he is a vast improvement on Milan’s other striking options. This signing has made Milan serious challengers to the likes of Napoli and Roma this season.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid to Juventus)
A lot has already been written about this transfer. Juventus are way ahead of the competition in Italy, but they have repeatedly fallen short in Europe. Ronaldo is expected to lead them to glory in Europe. The Italian champions have paid €100-plus for this transfer, which has made them favourites for Champions League.
