Juventus interested in Montolivo and Kuzmanovic

Juventus are reported to be searching for a central midfielder to deputise in the absence of either Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal or Andrea Pirlo. Their two prime candidates for this role are thought to be Riccardo Montolivo and Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

Montolivo's contract runs out in June, with Milan also reported to be showing keen interest in the Italian midfielder. His agent Giovanni Branchini told Tuttosport: "Juve is a possibility, do not deny it. We fully respect Fiorentina's choice to use him till the end of this season, he is working at his best and at this moment a move seems unlikely, because it would be inappropriate to the Viola."

"AC Milan? The problem is very simple, wait for the market to open in June."

With the possibility of Montolivo moving to Juventus in January looking very unlikely, they have turned their attention to former Fiorentina midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

Kuzmanovic moved to Stuttgart in 2009 and is currently on contract till 2013.

"Juventus and Lazio? They are two great teams. I often watch the Serie A. I was glued to the television the other night, for Napoli-Juventus. And i must say the Bianconeri are having a tremendous season," the 24-year-old told Tuttomercatoweb.

"At Stuttgart, however, I'm fine. My contract expires in 2013, and currently there is no need to speak of a renewal."
