Lampard is quoted as saying that he likes Italy, but that this has nothing to do with his future as a footballer. Lampard is currently on his yaught near Sicily, and progress regarding the deal may have to wait until 6 July when the Chelsea man finishes his holiday.

One of the better performers from the European Championships, Roma's Daniel De Rossi has agreed an extension to his contract, keeping him with the Giallorossi until at least 2012.


Baptista: - Real Madrid to Roma

Julio Baptista fuels rumours linking him with a move to the Olimpico after saying that he would like to play for Roma, and asking Real directors to sell him. Also in the chase for the Brazilian are Tottenham and Newcastle in England, and Villareal in Spain.

Ibrahimovic: Juventus to Barcelona

The Gazzetta picks up on Spanish reports that a sensational swap deal involving Samuel Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be on the cards. Most of the rumours this summer have revolved around Juventus, Milan and Barcelona, and again, Zambrotta could also be part of a deal to return to the peninsula.


Kaka: - Milan to Chelsea

There will be many rumours circulating about Kaka this summer as there always is. Chelsea are unlikely to lure the Brazialian away from San Siro, and the result of that may be a big money move for Liverpool star Fernando Torres

Mancini: - Inter Milan to Chelsea

Roman Abramovich wants to take Chelsea to a new level, by employing Roberto Mancini as Blues manager regardless of whether Avram Grant can bring the Champions League to Stamford Bridge. The appointment of Mancio may however depend on Inter winning the Scudetto this weekend.


Ronaldinho: - Barcelona to Milan

The latest twist in the tale is that Barcelona think Ronaldinho will be going to Milan, and that they have made an offer of 25m Euros - Adriano Galliani on the other hand says that this offer hasn't happened. Meanwhile the club is rumoured to be discussing possible deals for Samuel Eto'o and Gianluca Zambrotta.


Cafu and Serginho: - Milan - ?

Sunday will be the last game for both Marcus Cafu and Serginho. Cafu says he will return to Sao Paolo in Brazil, Serginho's future is unknown, but may be scouting for talent in Brazil for Milan. The two pacey full backs thanked the club and said goodbye on the Milan channel yesterday.

Eto'o: - Barcelona to Juventus

The likelyhood of this deal could have increased due to the troubles surrounding the purchase of Amauri, who is not as certain as he once was to join Juve. Eto'o has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp since christmas, and could favour a move to Serie A.


Miccoli: - Palermo to Lecce

One of the most likely deals of the summer, as Fabrizio Miccoli, the skillful attacker, wants to leave Palermo and return to his home town team Lecce, who are set to gain promotion to Serie A. The deal would also mean a good quality signing for the Salentini.
